Some tips you can use to maintain your smile and your oral health

I chose those videos because people are interest most of the time in how to know different tips about different things. Because of that my first video is about the green and black tea. Both of them have special properties that make for a healthier smile.
The second video tell us about the benefits of an apple. Because an apple a day may keep the dentist away, too when you can't get your toothbrush.
And the last video is very interesting because many people think that using a hard toothbrush is going to clean more and better but that is no the true, because they can damage our enamel. For that reason, we need to use a soft bristle brush an only 2 minutes with the correct technique.

-Green and black tea both have special properties that make for a healthier smile. Find out how your favorite drink could be doing more than you thought!

-An apple a day may keep the dentist away, too when you can't get to your toothbrush!

- Is your brushing style damaging your enamel? A few simple tweaks to your technique could make a difference

I chose this picture because I thing that for many people is bored to use dental floss or they don't have time to used it. This picture shows an alternative that we can practice when we are going to use dental floss. It is more easier to use and less boring.

  • Clean the new teeth every day. When the teeth first come in, clean them by rubbing them gently with a clean wet washcloth. When the teeth are bigger, use a child's toothbrush.
  • Children under 2 years of age shouldn't use toothpaste. Instead, use water to brush your child's teeth.
  • Don't let your baby go to sleep with a bottle. This can leave milk or juice sitting on the teeth and cause cavities that are known as "baby-bottle tooth decay."

How to Brush

What Is the Right Way to Brush?

Proper brushing takes at least two minutes, that's right, 120 seconds! Most adults do not come close to brushing that long. To get a feel for the time involved, try using a stopwatch. To properly brush your teeth, use short, gentle strokes, paying extra attention to the gumline, hard-to-reach back teeth and areas around fillings, crowns or other restoration. Concentrate on thoroughly cleaning each section as follows:

  • Clean the outer surfaces of your upper teeth, then your lower teeth
  • Clean the inner surfaces of your upper teeth, then your lower teeth
  • Clean the chewing surfaces
  • For fresher breath, be sure to brush your tongue, too

1. Tilt the brush at a 45° angle against the gumline and sweep or roll the brush away from the gumline.

2. Gently brush the outside, inside and chewing surface of each tooth using short back-and-forth strokes.

3.Gently brush your tongue to remove bacteria and freshen breath.

What Type of Toothbrush Should I Use?

Most dental professionals agree that a soft-bristled brush is best for removing plaque and debris from your teeth. Small-headed brushes are also preferable, since they can better reach all areas of the mouth, including hard-to-reach back teeth. For many, a powered toothbrush is a good alternative. It can do a better job of cleaning teeth, particularly for those who have difficulty brushing or who have limited manual dexterity. To find the right Colgate toothbrush for you.

How Important is the Toothpaste I Use?
It is important that you use a toothpaste that's right for you. Today there is a wide variety of toothpaste designed for many conditions, including cavities, gingivitis, tartar, stained teeth and sensitivity. Ask your dentist or dental hygienist which toothpaste is right for you. To find the right Colgate toothpaste for you.

How Often Should I Replace My Toothbrush?

You should replace your toothbrush when it begins to show wear, or every three months, whichever comes first. It is also very important to change toothbrushes after you've had a cold, since the bristles can collect germs that can lead to reinfection.

I believe that know a good technique of brushing is very important for good oral hygiene. Many of the diseases that patients have is lack of tooth brushing. It is important that everyone learn the correct technique and thus be able to avoid oral diseases. If it has no chance of obtaining a tooth brush is good to find companies that will help them and give them one.

I chose this video because it is like a quiz so everyone can get to know which the technique of brushing you are currently using is. And be able to know if they are in the right thing or not.

Erupted after his first tooth is recommended use a brush for baby without toothpaste, since it has flour and they swallow it. The ideal time to use the paste is when the child learns to spit.
